Margins to the Mainstream: Equality and Solidarity in the Arts

The second in our series of Critical Conversation events takes place this Sunday 26 September. Margins to the Mainstream looks at what equality and solidarity really means in the arts.

What are the challenges facing artists from marginalised communities in Pakistan, Bangladesh and Birmingham? How do we create a meaningful dialogue between people who form the majority and the minority, whilst addressing issues of intersectionality? And how do we create empathy and solidarity within and across diverse communities through the arts?

Join our online conversation, with an impressive group of speakers drawn from across the cultural sectors in Pakistan, Bangladesh and Birmingham: Bonna Mirza, Shahman Moishan, Taimur Rehman, Saif Samejd, Shama Askari, Aftab Rahma and Omar Hanif.

Critical Conversations are organised by Kalaboration Arts as part of Transforming Narratives.
